I'm making this post on my knees as a sign of respect to the palace.
I also culled it, just so everyone knows I'm only a rumour news monger.
Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II and Queen
Wuraola-Zynab Ogunwusi’s marriage has allegedly crashed.
Thecapital.ng reports that Olori Wuraola was accused of many
unpublishable things and lack of commitment to her marital vows.
Inside sources described the marriage as a sham, plagued by
suspicion, hatred and devoid of love. They accused Olori Wuraola of many
unpublishable things and lack of commitment to her marital vows.
The sources also said she is not on talking terms with her
in-laws. ”The allegations are as wide as they are wild,” one of the palace
insiders revealed.
When Olori Wuraola held sway, she had the world at her feet;
she got her wishes at the snap of a finger and she literally ruled the royal
household. Wherever he went, she was constantly by his side. She basked in the
stratospheric adulation that came with being the apple of the Ooni’s eyes.
Unfortunately, things have changed and many within the
palace now snigger and sneer at her for losing her position as the queen to one
of the most powerful monarchs in Africa.
On arrival from a trip recently, Olori Wuraola scurried to
the home of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to intervene in her marriage to
Ooni.
But Obasanjo’s mediation couldn’t save the relationship as
both have gone their separate ways.
Olori Wuraola, it was learnt, is currently in Lagos.
However, Naij.com says this
In an exclusive chat with NAIJ.com, the Ooni of Ife Oba
Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has dismissed rumours about the alleged crash of his
marriage.
There have been rumours circulating in the media that the 17 months
old marriage of the Ooni and his wife Olori Wuraola has crashed. However, in a
talk with NAIJ.com the Ooni debunked the rumours saying that he and his wife
have a happy marriage.
According to the Oba’s media aide, the palace was not
aware of the rumour until NAIJ.com contacted the palace for an interview.
There's no quote from the king and that makes it hard to believe this (seemingly spin-doctorish) angle.
But if indeed they are done and dusted, time will tell.
In the meantime, I would advise the queen to meditate on the book of Esther.
