One young man proved that actions speak louder than words during a Trump rally. He made hilarious faces which caught people’s attention. He was immediately removed from his spot, which was right behind Trump. However, the “Plaid Shirt Guy” has become a popular person in social media.
Trump took the centre stage during his rally in Billings, Montana to address issues. Trump spoke about his meetings with South Korea’s Kim Jung-Un and beating Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, the focus was shifting towards the young man in the background.
The man listened intently as Donald Trump spoke about beating Hillary during the last election. He seemed amused when the president stated that “if we didn’t know better, and maybe we’re starting to find out things we didn’t know, it’s hard, and harder to win than the popular vote.”
The young man continued making funny faces until a woman in black spoke to him and replaced him in his place.
He was not seen after he went away, but it had already made many fans for himself on social media who appreciated him for staying true throughout the rally. Most of them defended him for being honest.
The young man, Tyler Linfesty, is actually a high school senior and admitted that he signed up for the rally because he wanted to see Trump. He also said that he never intended to make fun of the President and claimed he was reacting naturally.
“All of those reactions were my actual reactions. I would’ve made those faces if anyone were to say that to me. I was not trying to protest, those were just my actual honest reactions,” he said.
He was wearing the Democrat pin when he attended the rally.
