These are the kind of stories that we should be hearing more often than not. The exemplary incident occurred in a Sikh temple in Malaysia.
Apparently, the Muslim man was in search of a Mosque and when he didn’t find one, he went inside Gurdwara Sahib Bercham Ipoh to pray while Sikhs were singing their hymns.
The incident was filmed and uploaded on social media by a group called ‘Sikh Inside’ and soon it went viral. Even though there is a disturbing history between the two religion, nobody objected to the Muslim man’s prayer, which surely deserves an applause.
The group wrote: “A Muslim brother spotted doing Namaz (prayer) in Gurdwara Sahib Bercham Ipoh. Probably he couldn’t find a mosque and drop by Gurdwara to complete his Namaz.”
Most of the people who saw the video were happy and appreciated the kind gesture. A few even shared their own stories about good karma.
One commenter wrote: “I remember that during a hiking tour in Manali in 2002, we stayed in a Gurudwara and used to offer our prayers there and no-one objected to us. That is the beauty of respect, tolerance and love.”
