Molly, a 3 year old toddler has turned out to be an angel after she saved the life of her father when he suffered from a stroke while at home. Trevor McCabe collapsed on the floor and began convulsing.
The little girl had the presence of mind to call her mother via FaceTime, which eventually saved her dad.
Devon McCabe, Molly’s mom, said: “She did a FaceTime call, and she was so brave, and she told me that daddy got sick and she showed me where daddy was, and so I saw him lying on the ground.”
Devon, who happens to be a nurse, was occupied in her work had missed the first call. Luckily, she did attend the next call after 15 minutes.
“(Molly) was sobbing, crying, (saying), “Look at daddy, look at daddy,” she said.
A 911 call was made after which Trevor was rushed to the hospital, thanks to his young daughter, everything was taken care of at the right moment.
The fact that he needed an emergency brain surgery and he was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital, shows how crucial every minute was.
“The only reason he’s doing so well is because he was able to get intervention so wuickly,” said Devon, who didn’t even know that her child knew how to use FaceTime.
She said: “We FaceTime with her grandparents every other day, but I’m the one doing it. The only thing I can think is that maybe she has seen me do it so many times that she remembered what to do. Five days later, it’s still stunning to me that she was able to put it all together. There is no doubt that she saved her father’s life. She was working really hard to get a hold (of) me.”
Hopefully, Trevor will completely be fine and recover from the incident as soon as possible.
